The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will launch their annual Girl Scout Cookie Program on January 11th. Scouts across the region will set up cookie booths, go door-to-door, and sell to friends and family online as they embark on their journey through the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls.
This exciting time of year allows girls to develop important life skills, including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. All funds raised from cookie sales remain local, supporting amazing experiences for Girl Scouts throughout the year.
Each box of cookies sold helps fund valuable opportunities such as service projects, troop travel, STEM programs, and summer camps.
Cookie booths will begin appearing throughout the region starting January 11th. To find a booth near you, visit gsofsi.org/findcookies. While you’re there, consider purchasing a box or two to donate through the Gift of Caring program. All cookies bought via this initiative will be donated to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, an organization that supports military families.
The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois serves over 6,500 girls and involves nearly 3,400 adults across 40 counties in Southern Illinois. For more information, call 800-345-6858 or email customercare@gsofsi.org.
