MONDAY EVENING FIRE DAMAGES FAIRFIELD RESIDENCE

Fairfield Fire along with Fairfield Rural Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire Monday evening just after 5:30 at the home of Silas Eckleberry at 909 SW 7th St.  Fire officials say the fire was confined to only one room in the residence and an electric fireplace heater is believed to be the cause.  No injuries were reported and firemen were on the scene for approximately two hours.
