TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT TUESDAY EVENING SENDS ONE TO THE HOSPITAL

Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening on Enterprise Road just South of the Jasper Baptist Church.  Deputies says a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by John Roberts III of Keenes had it hazards on in the southbound lane of Enterprise Road attempting to help a motorist who was stuck in the snow.  A 2022 Toyota van driven by Om Lala of Fairfield was approaching from the north heading southbound when the Lala vehicle failed to reduce speed and struck the Roberts vehicle in the rear causing damage.  Roberts was taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital by Wayne County Ambulance personnel.   Lala was not injured.  Om Lala was cited for Failure To Reduce Speed To Avoid An Accident.
