Several individuals appeared in Wayne County Circuit Court recently.
31-year-old Jonathan L. Downen of Benton pled guilty to a charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. Downen was sentenced to two years probation plus court costs.
Washington, Indiana resident, 37-year-old Nathan Foley pled guilty to a charge of Theft, a Class A misdemeanor and was sentenced to Conditional Discharge for a term of one year and also ordered to pay court costs.
David R. Hudgens Jr., 26 of Golden Gate pled guilty to a charge of Burglary, a Class 2 felony with the offenses occurring in August 2024. Hudgens was sentenced to spend three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and ordered to pay court costs. As part of the guilty plea, two other cases were dismissed.
Fairfield resident, 61-year-old Jerry Sarles pled guilty to a charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor. Sarles was placed on one year of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs.
50-year-old Chad Joslin of Fairfield admitted in court that he violated a previous probation order sentence of 24 months on an original charge of Domestic Battery. Joslin was re-sentenced to probation for one year and ordered to pay court costs.
An Eldorado resident, 19-year-old Eagan Summers pled guilty to a felony charge of Theft. Summers was placed on 18 months of probation and ordered to pay court costs.
Geff resident, 26-year-old Brandon L. Thomas entered a guilty plea to Theft and Battery, both misdemeanor offenses. Thomas was placed on one year of probation and was also ordered to pay court costs and is to have no contact with two individuals associated with the incident which occurred in February, 2024.
