Cisne FFA public speaking contestants enjoyed a successful evening at the January 21st Section 23 FFA Public Speaking Leadership Development Event held at Edwards County High School. Individual results: Alex Paul – 4th place Varsity Extemporaneous Speaking, Antenella Cline– 2nd place JV Extemporaneous Speaking, Mikkie Hearle – 4th place JV Extemporaneous Speaking, Macy Tannahill – 7th place Varsity Prepared Speaking, Allison Shannon – 1st place JV Prepared Speaking, Aidyn Dickey- 4th place JV Prepared Speaking, Rebecca King- 2nd place Creed Speaking and Esme Krupp – 13th place Creed Speaking. First and second place speakers will advance to district competition in April at SIUC. The Cisne FFA Varsity Quiz Bowl team of Mikenzie Alvis, Joshua Biggs,Mikkie Hearle, Alex Paul, Macy Tannahill, and Vincent King finished in 1st place at the Section 23 FFA Varsity Quiz Bowl also held January 21, 2025, at Albion. Eight schools participated.
