Donald Lee Blazier, 87, of Carmi

Donald Lee Blazier, 87, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Emma, Illinois, the son of William and Vonda Lee (Richardson) Blazier. Donald married Phyllis Sue Phillips on December 12, 1958, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2019. He worked as a tool and die maker, and had worked for Whirlpool and Alcoa. Donald attended Concord Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #752. Donald coached Little League Baseball when he was younger, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Donald is survived by his children, Donnie (Debbie) Blazier of Carmi, IL. and Devin (Ann) Blazier of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Megan (Scott) Stevens and Kailey Blazier; a great-grandchild, Sophia Stevens; siblings, Darrell Blazier of Carmi, IL, Gary (Cindy) Blazier of Carmi, IL. and David (Rachel)) Blazier of Harvest, AL; a special friend, Carolyn Linder of Carmi, IL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Phyllis Sue Blazier, Donald is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Danny Blazier and William Dale Blazier.

Funeral services for Donald Blazier will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial at Big Prairie Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Donald’s memory to the Linda E. White Hospice House, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W.
