During the January meeting of the Village of Cisne Board, the agenda was light, but the board approved a motion to proceed with electrical work at the park shelter. Previously, this project had been tabled due to price increases following Hurricane Helene. Since then, severe snowstorms and the California wildfires have further escalated costs. The board authorized the purchase of supplies for the upgrade at a total cost of $4,645, with the work to be completed by R S Electric.
Before adjourning, Mayor Roy Atwood praised the efforts of those involved in snow removal throughout the town. Board members Jimmy Barnfield and Larry Obrecht echoed his sentiments, recognizing the teamwork displayed during the recent weather challenges.
