Two men from McLeansboro, 36-year-old Theodore Middendorf and 37-year-old Justin LaGesse, have been pardoned after being accused of participating in the Capitol breach last year. Middendorf had pled guilty to one count of Destruction of Government Property and was scheduled for sentencing on February 12th.
LaGesse also pled guilty to Destruction of Government Property and faced multiple misdemeanor charges, including entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct, and engaging in physical violence in a restricted area. Just over a week before President Trump’s inauguration, LaGesse was sentenced to 11 months in prison and ordered to pay more than $43,000 in restitution.
