Fairfield Lady Mules Basketball tonight as the Lady Mules travel to Benton. Tip-off for the JV game is at 6pm.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING FROM SATURDAY
At the Lawrenceville Regional:
Fairfield Mules have 5 wrestlers qualify for the Carterville Sectional this Friday and Saturday. They include:
Jedd Wellen – 3rd place
Talan Keoughan – Regional Champion
Aiden Cates – 4th place – Alternate
Keegan Bare – 2nd place
Bentley Rogers – Regional Champion
Fairfield finished 4th out of 11 teams with only bringing 9 wrestlers.
1st-3rd place will wrestle, 4th place is an alternate.

Jalen Hurts is taking home Super Bowl 59 MVP honors. The Eagles quarterback completed 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He added 72 rushing yards and one score on 11 carries. It’s Philadelphia’s second-ever title after the team took down the Patriots back in Super Bowl 52.

MLB NEWS:
The Chicago Cubs are the first MLB team to begin their 2025 campaign. Pitchers and catchers reported to Arizona for Spring Training yesterday. The Cubs will have their first full-squad workout on Friday. Their first game will be on February 20th against the Dodgers. The Cardinals first day for pitchers and catchers to report to spring training is Wednesday with first full squad workout set for next Monday. The Cardinals first spring training game will be Saturday, February 22nd against the Miami Marlins.
