Sandra L. Rost, 78, of Dahlgren, IL. born September 1, 1946 in Joliet, IL. passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at SSM-Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL.
Sandra was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church, McLeansboro. She loved bowling, sewing and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, McLeansboro, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Rost in 2018 whom she married in July 5, 1972, her parents Ralph and Johanna Coons and brother Paul Coons.
She is survived by her son, William A. “Tony” Rost (Tina) of Dahlgren; step granddaughter Megan Link (Levi) and step great grandchildren Mallory and Maven; sister Barbara Phelps (Mike) of Raleigh, IL; brother Dale Coons of Fruitlan Park, Florida; nieces and nephews and friends also survive.
Visitation for Sandra will be Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 noon at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL with the funeral following at noon. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Piopolis, IL.
