WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT NEWS

A 37-year-old Fairfield resident, Shawn Eric Webb was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday afternoon around 4 o’clock on a Wayne County warrant for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  Deputies observed Webb in a vehicle in a rural area  South of Fairfield and conducted a traffic stop. Webb was taken into custody for the warrant. During the arrest Webb tried to discard a bag containing methamphetamine and a pipe. Deputies located the items and Webb was charged with the items along with obstructing justice for attempting to destroy evidence.

Charges:

-Warrant- Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine

New Charges:

-Possession of methamphetamine

-Possession of drug paraphernalia

-Obstructing Justice

Webb was transported and lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a court appearance.

 

37-year-old David Boone Dillon Vaughn of Xenia was arrested by Wayne county Deputies Thursday just after 4:30 following a vehicle accident in Cisne.  Deputies say Vaughn was driving a 2009 Pontiac G8 west on Central Avenue at Linda Avenue.  The vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole.  Vaughn was arrested for DUI and Failure To Reduce Speed To Avoid An Accident.  Vaughn was transported and booked into the Wayne County Jail.
