Gabby Barrett is taking the stage at the Du Quoin State Fair this summer. The multi-platinum country star will be performing on the Du Quoin State Fair Grandstand on Monday, September 1st. Barrett’s debut single “I Hope” topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a record-breaking 27 weeks, making her the youngest artist with a number-one debut on country radio in over two decades. The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 22nd to September 1st.

Fall Archery Season Yields Record Harvest Of Wild Turkeys:
Illinois is coming off a record breaking fall archery season. Hunters in Illinois harvested a preliminary record statewide total of just over one-thousand wild turkeys during the 2024-2025 fall archery turkey season. The previous record was 851 turkeys in 2015.
