Wayne County 911 and EMA have introduced Hyper-Reach, a state-of-the-art emergency notification system, to enhance public safety. Fully operational as of March 1st, the system rapidly alerts residents about local emergencies via phone calls, text messages, emails, and smart devices like Alexa-enabled speakers.
Hyper-Reach delivers thousands of alerts within seconds and integrates with FEMA’s Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) to notify mobile users of critical situations, including severe weather, criminal activity, and missing persons.
“Our goal is to protect Wayne County efficiently and affordably,” said Tom Windland, 911 Director. “Hyper-Reach provides everything we need at a great price.”
