MEMBERS GATHER FOR THE 103RD ANNUAL MEETING OF THE WAYNE COUNTY FARM BUREAU

David White, President of the Wayne County Farm Bureau, welcomes members and guests to the 103rd Annual Meeting of the organization.

 

At the 103rd Annual Meeting of the Wayne County Farm Bureau, four directors were reelected to for a two-year term. Jim Rush retired from the board after 35 years. Replacing Jim is Matt Rush of Fairfield.

The Wayne County Farm Bureau is pleased to present the University of Illinois Extension with a $2,000 grant to further develop the pollinator garden on the campus of Frontier Community College. The grant was announced at the recently held Wayne County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.

After 35 years of service on the Wayne County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Jim Rush has retired from the board. Presenting Jim with his recognition gift is Wayne County Farm Bureau President David White.

 

Members of the Wayne County Farm Bureau gathered for the 103rd Annual Meeting of the organization on March 6, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Fairfield. David White, President of the Wayne County Farm Bureau welcomed members to the meeting.

Following dinner, Fairfield High School and National Honor Society student Grady Simpson led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance. Members approved the minutes from last year’s annual meeting and the financial report. Members also granted permission for the board to select the delegates to the 2025 Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting this December.

Manager Doug Anderson presented the membership report and updated members on important projects the organization undertook this past year. President David White presented the University of Illinois Extension with a $2,000 grant for the further development of the pollinator garden on the campus of Frontier Community College.

Other reports included an Ag in the Classroom update from Katie Peters; a Young Leader Report from Maddison Oliver; a report on Illinois Farm Bureau from District 17 Director John Howard, an update on COUNTRY Financial from Jim Hughes, and a report on Wabash Valley Service Company from Allen Rusk.

Members re-elected four current directors for another two-year term. Those reelected include District 1- David White, District 2- Mark Bunnage, District 3- Heather Greenwalt, and District 4- Nathan Vaughn. Jim Rush retired after 35 years of service on the board. Members elected Matt Rush to replace Jim as the At-Large Director.

Following the meeting, the Board of Directors held a special meeting to elect their officers for the coming year. David White was elected President, Robert Pearce was elected as Vice-President, Heather Greenwalt was elected as Secretary-Treasurer, and Randy Ellis was elected as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer.
