GREG POTTORFF NAMED IOGA SERVICE PERSON OF THE YEAR

Greg Pottorff, owner of GeoLog Well Services in Wayne City, has been recognized as the Service Person of the Year by the Illinois Oil and Gas Association (IOGA). He received the honor last Friday during the annual IOGA convention in Evansville.

 

Other notable awards presented at the event included:

 

Lifetime Achievement Award – Marshall “Buz” Daniel, a geologist from Mt. Vernon

Petroleum Professional of the Year – David Britton of Britton Petroleum Consultants, Inc. of West Liberty

Additionally, Steve Lampley of Lampley Oil, Inc. in Benton was recognized as the outgoing IOGA president. The newly elected president is Ryan Mitchell of George N. Mitchell Drilling Co. in Carmi.

 

Founded in 1946, the Illinois Oil and Gas Association (IOGA) represents oil and gas producers, landowners, royalty owners, and others impacted by oil and gas development. Headquartered in Mount Vernon, the organization works to protect, preserve, and advance industry interests.
