Two Fairfield men were arrested by Fairfield Police on Tuesday in two separate incidents. Tuesday night around 10:15, police conducted a traffic stop on W. Delaware for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Donavon A. Lurz, 23 of Fairfield was wanted on a Richland County failure to appear warrant for driving on a revoked license. Lurz was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
Tuesday afternoon around 4:45, police responded to the 200 block of Broadway Avenue to investigate a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim and witnesses and determined Anthony J. Simpson, 33 of Fairfield as the aggressor in the fight. Simpson was located at his residence and taken into custody for battery and criminal trespass to property. Simpson was lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a pre-trial release hearing.
