E. Ray Harrison, 71, of Fairfield

E. Ray Harrison, 71, of Fairfield, passed away at 2:29pm on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

Ray was born on October 28, 1953, in Fairfield, IL, to Albert and Gladys (Miller) Harrison. On November 30, 1972, he married the love of his life, Sherri (Barger) Harrison.

Before his retirement, Ray had worked at Airtex Products for 28 years. He was also a member of the King’s Chapel Church in Fairfield, where he had been a deacon.

Survivors include his wife Sherri Harrison and his daughter Candi Young both of Fairfield, two grandchildren Dayne (Erica Michels) Young and Lacie Young, two sisters Wanda Walters of Sims, IL, and Barbara Pike of Fairfield, four sisters-in-law Ann Harrison and Anita Harrison of Fairfield, Billie Barger of Enfield, and Stephanie Barger of Springerton, three brothers-in-law Robert Barger of Springfield, IL, Carroll and Reva Dozier of Burnt Prairie, IL, and his favorite Ron and Sharon Barger of Enfield, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters Lorene Weber, Darlene Smith, Francis Wimer, Marie Dunn, and Pearl Miller, four brothers Bud Harrison, Andy Harrison, Raymond Harrison, and Dellos Harrison.

Ray’s body will be cremated with no formal services or burial at this time. Memorial donations can be made to either the Linda E. White Hospice House or the Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
