Hunter Kirk, a Senior at Fairfield High School was selected as a Top 10 female in the National Elks Most Valuable Student Contest. The selection process started in the fall. It was a 6 stage competition process with a 1.6% acceptance. Hunter is representing the Fairfield Elks Lodge 1631. The stages of the competition included a local lodge essay, district essay, state volunteer service project and two essays, two more essays and an interview. Hunter is the first to be selected from FCHS in at least 20 years.
