By Mark Wells May 16, 2025 | 5:56 AM

Children in Albion will once again benefit from free sack lunches this summer, thanks to the ongoing support of local churches and community organizations.

The Summer Food Program will run from June 2nd through July 25th offering free lunches Monday through Friday, from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the pagoda on the Albion Square.

Participating churches include First Methodist Church, Free Methodist, West Village Christian, Missionary Baptist, and House of Prayer. In addition, the Farm Bureau and local FFA chapter will contribute drinks and fruit to round out the meals.

This community effort ensures that children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months when school is not in session. Organizers encourage all local families to take advantage of the program.
