FCHS BOARD OF EDUCATION TAKES ACTION ON COACHING HIRES, RESIGNATION, AND SUMMER HOURS

The Fairfield Community High School (FCHS) Board of Education held its regular meeting on last (Thursday) with several key actions taken during the session.

The board began by approving the consent agenda and among the notable actions:

The board adopted amended meeting dates for the 2025-2026 school year.

Members granted permission to spend between July 1, 2025, and the adoption of the FY26 budget.

The board accepted the resignation of Karlie Taylor from her position as a teacher.

In staffing decisions for the upcoming school year:

Jayzle O’Neil was hired as the Girls’ JV Basketball coach.

Nic Snidle was hired as the Golf coach.

Kylie Stewart was approved as the JV Volleyball coach.

Torey Robson was appointed as a volunteer Volleyball coach.  All coaching appointments are for Fiscal Year 2026.

Additionally, several seniors and chaperones addressed the board to share highlights and feedback regarding the recent Washington D.C. trip, which is sponsored annually by the Podolsky family.

The board also established summer office hours for the school. Beginning this summer, the school office will operate Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
