Rena Belle McCormick, 98, of Fairfield passed away at 12:35AM on Friday May 16, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Grayville. She had been a waitress, cleaned houses, and mostly a farmer’s housewife. Rena Belle was born in Wayne County on September 5, 1926, to Walter Ross and Mary Ellen (Robertson) Fritts.
Rena Belle is survived by daughters- Brenda Howard of Grayville and Sharon Wolfe of Fairfield; son- Marvin (Connie) McCormick of Bonne Terre MO; grandchildren- Amy Lynn (Derek) Beeman of Evansville IN, Justin (Amber) Howard of Albion, Jeremiah (Kari) Wolfe of Crown Pointe IN, Joshua (Anna) Wolfe of Crown Pointe IN, Mandy (Corey) Hodges of Waukee IA, Stacy (Luke) Morris of Festus MO, and Jedidiah (Katherine) McCormick of Desoto MO; great grandchildren- Camden Beeman, Roman Beeman, Liam Emge, Mia Emge, Sawyer Howard, Jasmine Wolfe, Liam Wolfe, Axle Wolfe, Brenden Wolfe, Cameron Wolfe, Megan (Josiah) Cowperthwait, Sarah (Noah) Linton, Emily Hodges, Ryan Hodges, Alexander Morris, Emmalyne Morris, Daniel Morris, Benjamin Morris, Liliana Morris, Solomon McCormick, Thomas McCormick, Nehemiah McCormick, Joanna Belle Jean McCormick, Destiny Dumas, and Jenna Dumas; great great grandchildren- Willow Cowperthwait and Abigail Cowperthwait; sister- Karl Venturi of Streator IL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Rena Belle was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Thomas McCormick, sisters- Edith Burash, Josie Theisen, and Goldie Chalfant, brothers- David Fritts and Dean Fritts.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday May 21, 2025, at Sims Congregational Christian Church with burial in Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home as well as a visitation from 10AM until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
