A new park shelter at Bob Woods Memorial Park in the 400 block of Broadway St. South of Fairfield will be dedicated Tuesday evening at 5:45pm in the honor of the late Harry Morlan, former two-term Mayor and Alderman for 37 years in the City of Fairfield. A committee formed of Jimmy Joe McCleary, Ralph Barbre and Harry’s wife, Louise Morlan raised funds over the past few years to have the new park shelter built in Harry’s honor. Morlan was a long-time employee of Prairie Farms Dairy and he and his wife owned and operated Cy’s Old Fashion Ice Cream. The pulbic is invited to come out to the dedication of the new park shelter in honor of Harry Morlan.
