RINARD MAN SENTENCED TO 4 YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

40-year-old Cody L Cook of Rinard was sentenced in Wayne County Circuit Court Tuesday by Judge, Denton Aud to spend 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver.  The original charge dates back to October, 2023.   Cook was given 106 days of credit for time served in the Wayne County Jail and Cook was also ordered to pay court costs.  It was also ordered by the court that $2,630 that was seized by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department on October 18th, 2023 is forfeited to the Sheriff’s Department and $3,634 seized by the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force on October 24th, 2024 is forfeited to the Drug Task Force.
