Norman P. Mier, 32, of Sumner, waived a trial by jury Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court and entered a guilty plea to a charge of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony.
Judge Denton Aud sentenced Mier to serve 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by one year of Mandatory Supervised Release. He was also ordered to pay $3395.00 in fines and court costs and was given credit for two days spent in the Wayne County Jail.
In exchange for the guilty plea, a second charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine was dismissed.
Mier will be remanded into the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections after an appearance in White County Circuit Court.
