The Fairfield Police Department reported a busy weekend with multiple arrests between June 15th and June 16th including several warrants, traffic offenses, and domestic violence cases.
Dawn A. Taylor, 45, of Fairfield, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. on June 15th in the 1000 block of N. Laurel Street. Taylor was wanted on a Wayne County failure-to-appear warrant for criminal damage to government-supported property. She was transported to the Wayne County Jail.
Later that morning, at 7:45 a.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of NW 7th Street. Following an investigation, Cohen James Cassen, 34, of Fairfield, was arrested for Domestic Battery and booked into the Wayne County Jail.
At 9:36 p.m. on June 15th, police conducted a traffic stop at Main and NW 5th Streets. The driver, Amanda Gail Garner, 45, of Fairfield, was cited for driving without a valid license and arrested on a Clay County warrant for contempt of court. She was lodged at the Wayne County Jail.
In a separate incident earlier on June 15th at 12:40 a.m., officers made a traffic stop at Delaware and NE 7th Street. The driver refused to identify herself and repeatedly gave false information. She was arrested for Obstructing Identification. During the arrest, officers found a container with a white powder that tested positive for methamphetamine. After several hours in custody, the woman admitted to being Jacqueline S. Lloyd, 54, of Princeton, Indiana. Authorities confirmed her identity and discovered she had outstanding felony warrants in Vanderburgh and Gibson Counties (Indiana) for methamphetamine possession, providing false information, and theft. Lloyd now faces local charges of Meth Possession and Obstructing Identification and remains in the Wayne County Jail.
Finally, on June 16th at 8:10 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of West Elm Street. Terry Edward Richardson, 52, of Fairfield, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
