Connor Gerrish of Wayne City has been honored with the prestigious Congressional Award Gold Medal, the highest recognition given by the United States Congress to young Americans.
The award celebrates Connor’s outstanding commitment to personal development, community service, and leadership. His achievements include volunteering at local shelters, earning scuba and CPR certifications, and planning an ambitious multi-state history trip.
Representative Mike Bost praised Connor as a shining example of what dedication and initiative can accomplish. “Looking forward to where his passion for service and global leadership takes him next,” Bost said in a recent statement.
