EDWARDS COUNTY 4-H SHOWS BEGIN TONIGHT (MONDAY)

The annual Edwards County 4-H Shows begin  tonight (Monday, June 30th), marking the start of a series of events showcasing the hard work, creativity, and dedication of local 4-H members.

The season kicks off with the Clothing and Food Show on June 30th at 5:30 p.m. at COUNTRY Financial Hall, where 4-Hers will present handmade projects in sewing, textiles, foods and nutrition, and food preservation. The celebration of youth talent continues with the General Project Show on Saturday, July 12th, featuring a wide range of displays from crops and drones to photography, robotics, and more.

The excitement will continue into the Edwards County Fair with a full schedule of livestock and animal shows, highlighting months of care and training by local youth. Events will be held at the Edwards County Fairgrounds and COUNTRY Financial Hall, located at 90 W. Pine St., Albion, IL.

Monday, June 30th

5:30 p.m. – Clothing & Food Show Judging (COUNTRY Financial Hall)

Saturday, July 12th

8–11 a.m. – General Show Judging

11–11:30 a.m. – Project Viewing

11:30 a.m.–12 p.m. – Awards Ceremony

Tuesday, July 22nd

6 p.m. – Dog Show

Thursday, July 24th

5:30 p.m. – Poultry Show

Friday, July 25th

6 p.m. – Equine Show (Horse Arena)

Sunday, July 27th

2 p.m. – Rabbit & Small Animal Show (COUNTRY Financial Hall)

Monday, July 28th

9 a.m. – Livestock Judging Mini Session

9:30 a.m. – Livestock Judging Contest

2 p.m. – Sheep Show

Tuesday, July 29th

8 a.m. – Swine Show

1 p.m. – Goat Show

Wednesday, July 30th

8 a.m. – Bucket Calf Show

8:30 a.m. – Beef Show

1 p.m. – Tractor Rodeo

6 p.m. – Master Showmanship

Thursday, July 31st

9 a.m. – Youth Livestock Auction

Evening – Illinois Extension Booth (COUNTRY Financial Hall)

Illinois Extension will also host a special booth on the evening of July 31st, offering information on upcoming programs, events, and 4-H opportunities. Fairgoers are encouraged to stop by and learn more.
