The Wayne County Highway Department has announced that grinding work will begin on Burnt Prairie Road (County Highway 6) starting this morningĀ in preparation for an upcoming oil and chip resurfacing project.
Work will be completed in sections to minimize inconvenience to motorists. The first section scheduled for grinding is from just south of the residence at 747 CH 6 to 715 North. Later today, crews will work on the stretch from 690 North to 620 North.
Additional southern sections of CH6 may be closed today and tomorrow as progress continues.
All affected sections of Burnt Prairie Road will be closed to through traffic during the grinding process. However, intersecting roads will remain open. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and use alternate routes.
