TAPIA SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS IN IDOC FOR PROBATION VIOLATION IN EDWARDS COUNTY

33-year-old Isaiah D. Tapia was sentenced on Friday to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by six months of mandatory supervised release.

Tapia had previously pled guilty to the charge of unlawfully attempting to defraud a drug screening test. His prison sentence was imposed after he was found to have violated the terms of his probation.

The case was prosecuted by Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois. Tapia was represented by attorney Jonathan Turpin.
