Authorities have confirmed they are working an active investigation following a late May incident at the Grayville Super 8, but are releasing few details at this time.

Reports indicate Grayville Police officers were dispatched to the hotel after receiving a call about a woman in need of medical attention. She was transported to Wabash General Hospital, where she reportedly handed medical staff a note containing the word “trafficking” or “trafficked.”

In response, local law enforcement secured the hotel scene and requested assistance from Illinois State Police (ISP) Investigations.

An ISP spokesman confirmed the investigation remains active, stating that to protect the integrity of the case, no further information is being released at this time.

The nature of the potential trafficking claim and any possible suspects involved remain unknown as the investigation continues.
