Harris has played the first four years of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, compiling 4,312 rushing yards and 34 total touchdowns.

San Francisco wideout Demarcus Robinson pleaded no contest this week to a misdemeanor DUI charge and has been sentenced to three years of probation. He was also ordered to pay a 390-dollar fine and to complete court-mandated programs, which includes a three-month alcohol education program. Robinson also will be subject to possible discipline from the NFL under the league’s personal conduct policy. He inked a two-year, 9.5-million-dollar deal with the team in March.

(Jacksonville, FL) — A former Jaguars staffer is in additional legal trouble. Amit Patel was charged with six counts of grand theft by Florida prosecutors on Thursday. The 32-year-old is already serving a six-and-a-half year federal sentence for wire fraud and an illegal monetary transaction. Authorities say the former executive embezzled 22-million dollars from the team. Patel blamed his actions on a gambling addiction.

(Undated) — The Mets are sending another player to the All-Star Game. Right-hander David Peterson was added to the National League roster for Robbie Ray. The Giants lefty will be inactive for next week’s game in Atlanta. This is the first All-Star nod for Peterson, who is 6-and-4 with a 3.06 ERA. He is the fourth All-Star from the Mets, joining Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso and Edwin Diaz.

(Undated) — Former Major League Baseball manager Lee Elia is dead at 87. The Philadelphia Phillies confirmed that Elia passed away on Wednesday. Elia managed both the Phillies and the Chicago Cubs in the 1980s. He also served as a coach for several MLB teams, including the New York Yankees. The Philadelphia native was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and was honored by the Phillies earlier this year for his lifetime of contributions to the game.
