WAYNE CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHES POWER POLE FIRE SOUTH OF KEENES

Sunday evening around 7:45 p.m., the Wayne City Fire Department responded to a report of a power pole on fire approximately 1½ miles south of Keenes. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames and remained on scene until Wayne White Electric Cooperative personnel arrived to handle further repairs and ensure the area was safe.
