The Clay County Health Department is kicking off its first Back-to-School vaccine clinic this Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering required immunizations for students and qualifying adults ahead of the new school year. Illinois state law mandates that children and adults enrolled in childcare, school, or college receive certain vaccinations. Adults working in specific fields are also required by law to be immunized. Several opportunities will be available, the first of which is tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointments are necessary for these clinics. For more information, residents may contact the Clay County Health Department at 618-662-4406.
