Bucket Calf and Beef Show Results from the Edwards County Fairgrounds

The Bucket Calf and Beef Shows were held Wednesday, July 30th at the 4-H arena on the Edwards County Fairgrounds. The Champion Beef Bucket Calf was shown by Elsie Hortin who received a trophy donated by First Bank-Grayville.

Elsie Hortin received the Showmanship Belt Buckle, donated by Citizens National Bank of Albion.

In the Beef Show, Cody Greathouse showed the Champion Hereford Female and received a plaque donated by Lawrence and Holly Speir. Cody Greathouse also showed the Reserve Champion Hereford Female. In the Angus Breed Aly Williams showed the Champion, receiving a trophy donated by Ray Livesay-Windy Hill Farm. Brayden Sanford was the Reserve Champion in the Angus Female class. J.W. Simms-Reisner received the Doug Raber, Agent – State Farm Insurance trophy for his Champion Simmental Female, J.W., also showed the Reserve Champion Simmental Female. Kelly Hinderliter showed the Champion Shorthorn and received the trophy from Citizens National Bank. In the All-Other Registered Breeds Female, Kelly Hinderliter won the Champion plaque donated by Hinderliters Sunnyland Farm. The Reserve Champion All Other Breeds Female was shown by Tyler Knakmuhs. The Champion Crossbred Female was shown by Sydney Williams the trophy was donated by Les Smith, Attorney at Law. Kayleigh Sanford was the Reserve Champion in the Crossbred Female class. The Grand Champion Beef Female plaque, donated by Ray Livesay – Windy Hill Farm, was awarded to Kelly Hinderliter. The Reserve Grand Champion Beef Female was, also, shown by Aly Williams.

The Grand Champion Market Steer was shown by Aly Williams. She received a trophy donated by the Edwards County Farm

Bureau Board of Directors. Jaxon Kelsey showed the Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer.

In the Showmanship Division, Aly Williams was awarded the Senior Showmanship belt buckle donated by Donald St. Ledger, DVM. The Junior Showman was Tyler Knakmuhs who won a belt buckle donated by the Bone Gap Cardinals 4-H Club, In Memory of LuLu and Eugene Kelsey. The Novice Showmanship belt buckle, donated by COUNTRY Financial – Kelli Savage, Agent was awarded to Kendal Loudermilk.

2025 Master Showmanship Awarded

The Edwards Co. Master Showmanship Contest was also held on Wednesday, July 30th, at the 4-H barn. The 2025 Winner is Alyson Williams. The Reserve is J.W. Simms-Reisner. The Trophy was presented by Neil and Debbie Fearn.
