Frontier Community College will welcome incoming students to campus for New Student Orientation on Tuesday, August 19th, at the Workforce Development Center, beginning at 8 a.m. The event is designed to help students feel confident, prepared, and connected before the first day of classes on Thursday, August 21st.
Students will check in, receive their student ID cards, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before exploring FCC’s campus and resources. Representatives from campus clubs and organizations will be on hand to share opportunities for involvement.
Dr. Sharmila Kakac will deliver the official welcome at 8:30 a.m., followed by an overview of the day’s schedule. Students will then break into small groups for guided campus tours, learning about campus life and the variety of services available to support their success at FCC. Towards the end of New Student Orientation, students will gather at the Dr. Mike L. Dreith Pavilion for a group photo and receive their official FCC orientation T-shirts.
New Student Orientation marks the start of a series of interactive games, activities, and events running through early September that help students build friendships, discover resources, and ease the transition into college life.
