Kellie Jene Elliott, 64, of Westminster, SC

Kellie Jene Elliott, 64, of Westminster, SC passed away on August 16, 2025 at Franklin County Hospital in Benton, IL.  Kellie was born on December 2, 1960 in Boise, ID to Neil & Judith (Hughes) Woods.

Kellie worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for The Pearl at the Tiller’s Nursing Home in Oswego, IL and Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL.  She loved wood crafting and furniture crafting, and playing Skip-Bo.  She loved animals, and had previously worked at some boarding kennels.  She loved her family & friends, and especially loved her grandchildren.

Kellie is survived by 2 daughters: RandaJo (Steve) Vahl of McLeansboro, IL and Serina (Casey) Casteel of Benton, IL; 5 grandchildren: Nathan Heise of McLeansboro; Hunter Vahl of McLeansboro; Dakota Vahl of McLeansboro; Charlene Smith & significant other Leilah Goforth of Grande Prairie, TX; and Myla Casteel of Benton, IL; brother Neil (Julie) Woods of Mooresville, NC; sister Leslie Woods of Mooresville, NC; sister Tracy Woods-Beyer of Georgia; brother Chuck (Debbie) Woods of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Neil & Judith Woods.

Per Kellie’s wishes, her body will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.gholsonfuneralhome.com
