FCHS BOARD OF EDUCATION TO MEET THURSDAY

The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, August 21st at 6 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall.
The agenda includes routine consent items such as approval of July meeting minutes, agenda adjustments, financial reports for all district accounts, and payment of bills.
Visitors will be recognized, and Wabash AT will present the student/staff focus. Committee reports are expected from Transportation, Building, and Curriculum.
Superintendent reports will cover a revenue-to-expense review, registration and enrollment updates, CD rates, and the start-of-school status. A strategic planning session is also scheduled for August 26 at 5 p.m. in the Curriculum Committee.
Principals will provide updates, and under old business, the board will consider final approval of Press Policy 119 with multiple subpolicy references.
New business includes placing the FY26 budget on a 30-day review, approving the District Cardiac Response Plan, and considering an intergovernmental agreement with District 112 to share transportation routes.
A closed session will be held to discuss personnel matters including appointment, employment, retirement, or dismissal of employees. Upon returning to open session, the board may take action on employment items, including consideration of an individual aide, as well as any other business before adjournment.
