NORTH WAYNE SCHOOL BOARD MEETS WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The North Wayne School Board met Wednesday night and approved several items on the consent agenda, including:
Minutes of the July 16th regular meeting
Personal leave and dock day requests
FMLA requests for three employees
Designation of the Wayne County Press as the publication for all legal notices
Authorization of overdrafts
Moving the September Board of Education meeting to Monday, September 22nd at 7 p.m. at Cisne Middle School
Acceptance of a $500 donation from Fairfield National Bank to the Cisne High School FFA
In other action, the board approved the payment of bills and voted to accept bids for a white activity bus.
The board also tentatively approved the 2025–26 district budget and scheduled a budget hearing for September 22nd at 6:50 p.m. at Cisne Middle School.
Following executive session, the board made the following hires:
Eric Porter as Cisne High School Softball Coach
Sarah Scott as an individual aide for a student at Brownsville School
Tyson Lowe as Cisne Middle School Cross Country Coach
