The Fairfield Lady Mules will host the annual Kickoff Classic Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at Fairfield Community High School and the Center Street gyms.
Eight teams are entered in the event, divided into four pools. Pool A at FCHS includes Fairfield, Cisne, and Mt. Vernon. Pool B at Center Street Gym #1 features Newton, Lawrenceville, and Carbondale. Pool C at Center Street Gym #2 has NCOE, Mt. Carmel, and North Clay. Pool D at Center Street Gym # 3 includes Carmi-White County, Woodlawn, and Oblong.
Pool play begins at 9:30 a.m. with matches scheduled throughout the morning. Bracket play starts at 1 p.m., with the championship set for 4 o’clock between the winners of the earlier semifinal rounds.
Admission for spectators is $5 for the entire day.
