The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle crash early this (Thursday) morning.
Deputies say just after 2:30, 25-year-old Shayne L. Battista of Geff was traveling northbound on County Highway 1 South of County Road 1900N in Elm River Township in a 2008 Ford F-250 when Battista told deputies he reached over to adjust the radio when the vehicle veered to the right, striking the guardrail on the bridge.
Battista was transported by Wayne County Ambulance personnel to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
