Ford and General Motors have issued recalls affecting hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to safety concerns, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Ford Pickup Truck Recall:
Ford is recalling approximately 100,000 F-150 pickups due to a potential issue with the rear axle hub bolt, which may fatigue and break. This defect could damage the axle hub splines and increase the risk of a crash. To address this, Ford dealers will replace the left and right rear axle shaft assemblies at no cost to the owners.
Additionally, over 355,000 pickup models from 2025-2026 are being recalled for an instrument panel display issue. This will be resolved through a software update available either at dealerships or via an over-the-air update.
Owners are encouraged to contact their local dealers to arrange necessary repairs and updates.
GM Chevrolet Corvette Recall:
General Motors is recalling over 23,000 Chevrolet Corvettes due to a fuel leak issue that raises the risk of fire during refueling. This recall affects Corvette models from 2023 to 2025, with the defect present in approximately 0.1% of the vehicles.
Affected Corvette owners should reach out to their dealers for more information and to schedule repairs. Both automakers are prioritizing these recalls to ensure the safety and reliability of their vehicles.
