The Wayne County Board will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, September 11th at 7 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse.
The meeting will begin with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and roll call before the approval of August minutes.
Guests scheduled to address the board include Callie Block of JW Saloon and Package LLC and representatives from the Village of Mt. Erie regarding a ditch concern.
Among the reports and business items:
The Highway Department will seek approval of a Joint Funding Agreement for a federally funded bridge project and a construction contract for another county bridge.
Routine reports will also be presented from the State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner, and Health Department.
New business will include consideration of the disposal of executive session minutes from January through August 2025.
The board will also hear committee reports covering finance, sheriff, EMA, animal control, road and bridge, insurance, buildings and grounds, economic development, rules and policy, and liquor commission.
Executive session may be held if needed.
