River Stages

Recent rainfall has caused some minor jumps in area rivers, however they remain well below flood stage as of this morning.  The Little Wabash River east of Fairfield is at 13.12 feet.  Flood stage is 17 feet.  At Clay City the stage is 6.7 feet.  Flood stage is 18 feet.   At Carmi the river is at 5.09 feet.  Flood stage is 27 feet.  The Skillet Fork at Wayne City is at 5.02 feet, below the 15-foot flood stage.  The Wabash River at Mt. Carmel is at 6.41 feet.  Flood stage is 19 feet.

The area has a chance of more rain and thunderstorms today, some of which again could be on the strong or severe side, with additional rain chances through most of this week.
