A house and vehicle in Enfield were struck by gunfire Wednesday night.
White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss said his office received a report of shots fired around 10:30 p.m. at a residence on East Johnson Street in Enfield. Neighbors identified the property as belonging to Mona (Kent) Lara.
Responding deputies, along with Carmi Police, discovered one bullet hole in the exterior of the home and another in a vehicle parked on the property. No injuries were reported.
Illinois State Police crime scene agents were called to assist in the investigation and collected evidence at the scene.
