The 2025 Wayne County Crop Yield Tour has revealed significant variations in crop yields across different regions of the county. The countywide averages stood at 170 bushels per acre for corn and 47.6 bushels per acre for soybeans. Results include:
Southeast: This region recorded the highest yields, with corn reaching 187.6 bushels per acre and soybeans at 50.9 bushels per acre.
Southwest: Corn yields were 181.3 bushels per acre, while soybeans were 48.8 bushels per acre.
Northeast: Corn averaged 172.5 bushels per acre, and soybeans came in at 45.5 bushels per acre.
Northwest: This area saw the lowest yields, with corn at 139.4 bushels per acre and soybeans at 44.8 bushels per acre.
