​JUDGE ROBERT C. “R.C.” BOLLINGER APPOINTED TO FIFTH DISTRICT COURT OF APPEALS

Robert C. “R.C.” Bollinger has been appointed to serve as a justice with the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Mt. Vernon. His appointment fills a vacancy on the court, bringing the number of justices to nine.
Judge Bollinger’s appointment takes effect September 29th and will continue until further order of the court.
Bollinger was first selected as an associate judge for the Sixth Circuit in Macon County in 2008. In 2014, he was elected Resident Judge in the Sixth Circuit and has since served as Deputy Presiding Circuit Judge for Macon County. Before joining the bench, he practiced law for 12 years at the Decatur firm Erickson, Davis, Murphy, Johnson, Griffith & Walsh.
The Fifth District Court of Appeals hears cases from 48 downstate counties, including Wayne, White, Edwards, Clay, Wabash, Gallatin, and Saline counties.
