Volunteers For A Progressive Fairfield (VPF) will bring back the ever-popular “Chuck A Duck for a Buck” fundraiser during the Fairfield Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, September 20th at 6 p.m.
For just $1 per duck, participants can buy as many rubber ducks as they’d like, all with the chance to win big while supporting a good cause. At toss time, all ducks will be thrown at a target, with the closest duck’s owner winning 50 percent of the total funds raised. The other half will go to VPF to support community projects, including the Festival of Lights and gazebo decorations.
“It’s a lighthearted way to raise money, and everyone gets to be part of the action,” said event coordinator Kristi Hornung. “The more ducks you buy, the better your chances — and the more we raise for a great cause.”
Ducks are available in advance at Carnaby Square, at the FFF Information Booth once the Vendor Tent is open, or up to 15 minutes before the event at the FNB drive-thru lot. The toss is open to all ages.
