The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, in partnership with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, will host the final two sessions in its Coffee Talk morning finance series this month.
The September 23rd session, Depreciation, Impact on Financials & Taxes, will cover how depreciation influences financial statements and tax obligations, offering practical tips for managing depreciation schedules.
The September 30th session, Understanding Financial Statements, will focus on helping entrepreneurs read and interpret financial statements to make informed business decisions.
Both programs run from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Fusion Coffee, 207 East Main Street in Fairfield. No registration is required.
“These sessions provide essential financial education in a relaxed format,” said Michelle Brooks, Director of the Illinois SBDC at IECC. “Understanding finances and taxes are among small business owners’ biggest challenges, and these sessions directly address those needs.”
The Illinois SBDC at IECC offers free, confidential business counseling and educational programs including business plan development, financial analysis, marketing assistance, and regulatory guidance.
