Due to dry conditions, burn bans are now in place across several southern Illinois counties.
County-wide burn bans include: Bond, Fayette, Clinton, Marion, Clay, Crawford, Lawrence, Washington, Edwards, Perry, Franklin, Hamilton, White, Saline, and Johnson.
Local village burn bans have also been issued in: Jefferson, Randolph, Effingham, and Franklin counties.
Residents are urged to comply with restrictions until further notice to help prevent wildfires and protect public safety.
