BAKED GOODS CONTEST SET FOR SATURDAY DOWNTOWN FAIRFIELD DURING FALL FUN FEST

Do you have the best pie in town? Can your cookies beat the competition? Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just getting started, the annual Baked Goods Contest is back and sweeter than ever.
Registration will be held from 10 a.m. until noon this Saturday, September 20th at RJ on Main in downtown Fairfield, with judging set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
Entries will be judged on presentation and taste, with only one entry allowed per person. Categories include pies, cookies (½ dozen), breads, cake/cupcakes (½ dozen), and “other.” All contestants will compete together.
Prizes per category:
First Place: $25, Save-A-Lot $20 Gift Card, Tropical Sno Gift Certificate, and a certificate to Taylor Made Food Truck.
Second Place: $15, Save-A-Lot Gift Card, Tropical Sno Gift Certificate, and a certificate to Taylor Made Food Truck.
Third Place: $10, Save-A-Lot Gift Card, Tropical Sno Gift Certificate, and a certificate to Taylor Made Food Truck.
An overall honorable mention will also be awarded.
